Yokohama Fenders
Yokohama fenders or yokohama type fenders is type of pneumatic rubber fenders produced adopting Japan Yokohama technology. El guardabarros de Yokohama o de Yokohama es un escudo de caucho aerodinámico fabricado con tecnología de Yokohama(Japón).
Yokohama fenders with tire nets & chains are manufactured referrs to ISO17357, often called pneumatic floating fenders and rubber yokohama floating fenders. There are two types yokohama fenders, with tire nets chains and sling type. Floating yokohama pneumatic rubber fenders are regularly installed with tire nets and chains outside of the fender body, which becoming the typical type of yokohama fenders.
Application of Yokohama fenders
Yokohama type floating pneumatic rubber fenders is made of rubber, adopting ships and marine technology, are widely applied to shipbuilding, oil & gas filed, energy and offshore supply. Yokohama fenders are placed aside of ships, vessels and marines for goods transfer between ship to ship which is called sts transfer or equipped on ports with chains or ropes for docking. Yokohama pneumatic floating fenders is a good energy absorber inflated with pressurized air as medium to absorb impact energy of two ships, being called bumper for ships. Yokohama fenders can also be used as survival tools for people becuase it can float on water, not only heavy duty, bearing a big weight but also providing enough buoyancy.
Construction of Yokohama type fenders
Both yokohama fenders or yokohama pneumatic floating fenders with chains tire nets and sling type are 
constructed with inner rubber layer, middle reinforced synthetic-tire-cord rubber layers and outer rubber layers, 100% in accordance with requirements of ISO 17357.
– Inner rubber layer
– Middle reinforced synthetic-tire-cord rubber dipped layer
– Outer heavy duty rubber protection layer
Material requirements:
As per yokohama fenders requirements of ISO, we ensure properties of rubber layer from hardness, tensile strength to ozonation.
Specification of Yokohama fenders
Whichever type of yokohama floating pneumatic fenders be, yokohama fenders are generally classified into 50 kPa and 80 kPa according to their initial pressure. size of each type yokohama fenders can be ranged from 0.5 m in diameter to 4.5 m and 1.0 m in length to 11.0 m.
